The Appeals Court ruled today on the temporary stay of the judgment pending appeal. They upheld the stay, but for the jail sentence ONLY. The change of custody hearing, and the awarding of fees, can move forward… and will, beginning Friday 6/24 9:30am.
In addition, her attorney petitioned the Appeals Court to allow him four months to perfect his appeal (this is customary and most often granted). The court is only allowing him until July 19th, approx one month. He has a huge amount of work to get done in a short period of time to submit his papers and also deliver nine copies of the entire bound transcript to the court and one for my attorneys. The appeal will most likely be heard in September.
