Our guest Ted Rubin and host Dr. Heidi Forbes Öste talk the journey through evolving tech, keeping our humanity and reaching customers. Ted Rubin is a leading Social Marketing Strategist, Keynote Speaker, Photofy CMO, MC/Host of Brand Innovators Summits, and Co-Founder of Prevailing Path.
Dr. Heidi Forbes Öste is a behavioral scientist with a passion for wellbeing and technology.
Combining a career in social strategy (advising organizations and leadership on the use of technology to connect for knowledge sharing and relationship building), her doctoral research into the human behavior behind the interactions and her personal passion for well-being, Dr. Forbes Öste’s work has evolved to provide solutions for thriving in the digital era.
Thriving in the digital era requires innovative solutions to bringing your best self to life and work. Dr. Forbes Öste’s BE-ing@Work research explores triggers to presenteeism, showing up physically but absent in presence-of-mind, and potential tech-based solutions.
In the Digital Era, using technology is required to manage relationships with teams and clients. Understanding how we interact with tech, and finding the best solutions as our needs, interests and businesses evolve is critical for success and wellbeing. We aim to achieve a state of sociomateriality, a fluid interaction between the digital and self, from which our best comes forward. BE-ing@Work explores the potential for wellbeing apps and devices to counter the effects of presenteeism and achieve sociomateriality.
MISSION
2BalanceU aims to improve the contemporary workplace, where presence is possible, valued and augmented by innovation, knowledge and respect for the individual as part of the whole.
The BE-ing@Work research explores both root causes (ie. chronic illness, lifestyle, workplace culture, physical work setting, technology use) and solutions (ie. well-being programs, incentive, measurement and technology). Dr. Forbes Öste’s work is based on the premise of respect for the human capacity to thrive when provided the tools to achieve greater understanding of both body and mind.
