Don’t forget that although Twitter’s only used by small % of the population, it’s a seeding medium with content that very often finds its way to other mediums via every day users and influencers, a place for real-time news, sentiment analysis, and feedback… and an incredibly viable search engine. #RonR
Twitter, despite feeling ubiquitous to people in the media, remains a relatively small platform.
This chart from BI Intelligence shows that just 18% of U.S. Internet users are on Twitter. The people that are on Twitter are using it largely to track news.
There’s two ways to look at this. On the one hand, it means Twitter has room to grow. On the other, it suggests Twitter isn’t mainstream, and it might not ever go mainstream.
Nice write up and thanks for sharing your insight. Very valuable indeed.
I uses Twitter all the time and honestly speaking, you can’t go wrong with it regardless it is for leisure or business. However, the starting part is tough where you need to gain followers etc.
Once that is done and spending enough time there, you will slowly see the fruit of … success using Twitter.
You basically nailed everything about Twitter in your write up and thanks again for everything. Shared on Triberr too!
Thanks Reg… make it a great weekend.
I find that hard to believe that only 18% of U.S. Internet users are using Twitter. I can understand a lot of them using it for news because I hear a lot about that when things are breaking. They run to Twitter to hear the latest.
I think I like to look at this as it has room to grow then because I do love this platform for sharing information and connecting with others. It’s fast pace but enjoyable.
Thanks for this, learned something new here.
Appreciate your input Adrienne.
