LET’S TALK ABOUT “WORKSLOP” (This post inspired by John Andrews LinkedIn Post and the start-up LARRIDIN)
Yep, you heard that right. It’s the perfect word to describe what’s happening when AI gets used without intention. Instead of helping workflows flow, it clogs the pipes… flooding feeds, inboxes, and dashboards with meaningless noise, half-baked content, and shallow insights masquerading as productivity.
But here’s the truth…
It’s not the tool that’s the problem. It’s the mindset behind it… and the lack of accountability that allows bad habits to masquerade as innovation.
Too many teams are checking the “AI box” (over and over again) just to say they’re in the game. They automate, copy-paste, and replicate without ever asking the most important questions…
-
What problem are we solving?
-
Who is this really serving?
-
Are we making better decisions—or just faster ones?
- Do we have any way of measuring?
When AI is used without clarity, curiosity, or creativity, it becomes WORKSLOP... a chaotic churn of output that actually slows decision-making, stifles collaboration, and erodes trust. But used right… AI becomes a force multiplier. With intention and governance, it amplifies human insight, it sharpens creativity, it clears the clutter instead of creating it. It enables scale without sacrificing soul.
That’s why I’m proud to be on the Advisory Board of Larridin, a company whose mission is to make sure every organization extracts maximum value from AI transformation. Because real transformation doesn’t come from shiny tools, it comes from…
Understanding the AIs in use.
Scaling what works.
Ensuring seamless governance.
And optimizing for impact, not just activity.
We don’t need more automation… We need orchestration. We don’t need more noise… We need trust and traction. AI isn’t here to replace us, it’s here to empower us… IF we approach it with the right mindset, mission, and sense of responsibility.
So the question becomes… Are you building with AI? Or just dumping out more WORKSLOP?
Let’s make it count… Let’s build better… Let’s lead with intention.
